Marian Eucharistic Missionaries (MEM)
Welcome to the Marian Eucharistic Missionaries (MEM)! Inspired by the St. Rita Parish Pastoral Plan, the USCCB National Eucharistic Congress (2024), and the Diocese of St. Petersburg Pastoral Plan, Call to Conversion, introduced by Bishop Gregory Parkes in October 2024. MEM is dedicated to bringing Christ’s presence to the homebound.
Our mission focuses on deepening the Eucharistic connection within the community while offering care to those unable to attend Mass. We invite you to join this ministry of faith, love, and service

Our Purpose
The primary purpose of the MEM ministry is to provide pastoral care for homebound members of our community. Through this ministry, we hope to ease feelings of isolation and ensure that everyone, no matter their circumstances, can encounter Christ in the Eucharist.
Grounded in the call for an ongoing Eucharistic revival, MEM reflects the values of discipleship and community connection. By sharing Christ’s presence, this ministry reminds us that no one stands apart from the love of God.

Our Vision
At the heart of MEM is the spirituality of the Visitation (Luke 1:39-45). After receiving the Eucharist, our missionaries bring Our Eucharistic Lord, accompanied by Mary, to those who cannot attend Mass in person.
From their homes, the homebound stay connected to the community by participating in the livestreamed Mass. They engage in the Liturgy of the Word and join in spiritual communion. At the end of the Mass, MEM missionaries are sent forth in the spirit of Mary, who “hastily” carried the joy of Christ to others.
With this vision, we strive to share God’s grace, one visit at a time, ensuring that each encounter carries the blessing of the Eucharist into hearts and homes.
