Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. For us Schoenstatters, this day is also significant because our founder, Father Joseph Kentenich, passed away on this day in 1968. He died here in what was then the sacristy of the newly consecrated Church of the Holy Trinity, immediately after celebrating his first Holy Mass in this church. The spot where he lay when God called him home is marked by a carpet. Every year on September 15th, this carpet is replaced by a carpet of flowers, as you can see here. During the days around this feast, many people come here to pray and give thanks for the fruitful life of Father Kentenich.\n\n#SevenSorrowsOfMary #Schoenstatt #FatherKentenich #anniversary #HeLovedTheChurch”,”ranges”:[{“offset”:650,”length”:19,”entity”:{“__typename”:”Hashtag”,”__isEntity”:”Hashtag”,”mobileUrl”:”https:\/\/m.facebook.com\/hashtag\/sevensorrowsofmary”,”url”:”https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/sevensorrowsofmary?__eep__=6″,”id”:”297328577058671″,”__isNode”:”Hashtag
