For us Schoenstatters, today is a special date. On January 20th, 1942, our founder, Father Joseph Kentenich made the decision to leave aside human means and embrace the possibility of being sent to the Concentration Camp, if that so be God’s will. He was prepared to take hardship and suffering upon himself in order to merit grace for his spiritual family. The story of Schoenstatt after this date proves that it was God’s will. Much good came from the Dachau time. Today we give thanks for our founders courageous decision and we too say our yes to God’s plan of love in our lives.. especially then, when things get hard. He does not leave us alone.
