ES: El corazón de José Engling fue tocado profundamente por María en el Santuario de Schoenstatt. En la guerra, en las trincheras, vivió a pleno el espíritu fundador, tomando muy en serio la entrega radical del corazón a Jesús y María. Falleció el 4 de octubre de 1918, después de haber arriesgado muchas veces la vida sirviendo a sus camaradas, en medio de graves peligros. Su alma noble y entregada contribuyó a dar a Schoenstatt un cariz original de renovación de la Iglesia.
EN: Joseph Engling’s heart was deeply touched by Mary in the Schoenstatt Shrine. In the war, in the trenches, he lived the founding spirit to the full, taking very seriously the radical surrender of the heart to Jesus and Mary. He died on October 4, 1918, after having risked his life many times serving his comrades, in the midst of grave dangers. His noble and dedicated soul contributed to give Schoenstatt an original character of renewal of the Church.
