“Holy Orders and the Eucharist are linked from the beginning. You cannot have one without the other. Fostering a deeper appreciation and reverence of the Sacrament of the Eucharist will foster more and more vocations to the Priesthood. Through reflection, meditation, and ultimately through participation in the Eucharist, more and more men will make the decision to become priests…
.
This Holy Thursday, as we experience our priests washing feet, and as we celebrate the Institution of the Eucharist at the Last Supper, let us pray for our priests and bishops that they might be drawn even deeper into the Eucharistic Heart of our Lord and that their intimacy with the Lord might increase. As we as a Revival get ready to roll out Eucharist Missionary formation, let us remember that the priests are first in line not by any commitment we create as part of this Revival, but by their very ordination.
.
Further, this Easter, let us be resolved to show our priests gratitude for their ministry and offer our own help to draw others to the altar of the Lord. Finally, there is no Eucharist without priests. Let us pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, that the Lord might raise up men, like those who walked to Emmaus, with burning hearts and Eucharistic amazement.”
