Catholic Charities, Diocese of St. Petersburg staff volunteers assisted with a ‘muck & gut’ day in East Pasco County. Organized to assist parishioners of Saint Rita Catholic Church Dade City whose homes are still heavily damaged due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton in te Fall of 2024, the team worked during 90 degree/90% humidity day to remove debris from the home into a Pasco County-provided dumpster!
This effort is in keeping with Bishop Gregory L. Parkes’ (bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Saint Petersburg) One Million Acts of Mercy Challenge, that was initiated as part of Pope Francis’ Jubilee Year of Hope. Learn more here:
